2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you register, submit stories, or interact with the platform, we collect:
- Full name or display name
- Email address
- Username and password (password stored encrypted)
- Startup name, website URL, and revenue data
- Stories and written content you publish
- Profile information and bio
- Advertiser company name and billing details
2.2 Revenue & Startup Data
When you submit a startup, we retrieve and store revenue data from the TrustMRR API using your provided startup URL. This includes Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), all-time revenue, and associated metrics. This data is displayed publicly on your startup profile.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your startup stories and revenue data on the platform
- Calculate and award XP points through our gamification system
- Operate the leaderboard and community features
- Generate shareable achievement cards using our card editor
- Process payments for advertising or premium features
- Send platform notifications and product updates
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity
- Comply with legal obligations
- Improve the platform through usage analytics

- Supabase (Database & Authentication): We use Supabase to store user accounts, stories, startup data, and platform activity.
- TrustMRR (Revenue Verification): We query the TrustMRR API to retrieve and verify founder revenue data.
- Dodo Payments (Payment Processing): We use Dodo Payments to process advertiser subscriptions and one-off payments.
6. Security & Data Protection
We take the security of your data seriously. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plain text.
